The Rosendo Mateu brand recently launched No. 8, another addition to the – in my opinion – magnificent Olfactive Expressions collection, which I introduced to you here a few years ago. I have also had the pleasure of presenting the latest line, Olfactory Journeys, to you not so long ago. As usual, I’ll link you to my previous posts about this wonderful fragrance house below, don’t worry! 😉 All niche fragrance fans who may have missed my articles on Rosendo Mateu so far or who would like to find out more about the brand can get answers to all their questions about the label and its creations here.

Olfactive Expressions – No. 8
In terms of fragrance notes, No. 8 is an atmospheric mix of exotic and local fruits, the finest flowers, precious woods, delicious spices and much more. That sounds absolutely appealing to me in any case, and as an avowed Olfactive Expressions fan, I also expect No. 8 to be a composition that not only appeals to me, but also inspires me. And now a more detailed breakdown of the ingredients: Apple, pear, pineapple, ambergris, patchouli, cinnamon, Bulgarian rose, cedarwood, vetiver, guaiac wood and vanilla
Rosendo Mateu Nº 8 is an exotic, fresh and lively fragrance and at the same time profound in its base notes. It belongs to the family of fruity-floral-oriental fragrances and is a versatile perfume that both men and women will love. A creation that is characterized by its complexity and offers a refined and multidimensional fragrance experience.
No. 8 opens with tropical-sweet pineapple, lovely apples and juicy pears. It is soon joined by earthy, woody patchouli, which initially adds darker facets and depth to the creation, but then quickly becomes creamy, woody and significantly lighter. The cinnamon brings subtly spicy nuances to the composition, which is soon surrounded by lucid, honey-sweet rose. Oh, how enchanting! The exotic fruit accents of the opening can still be sniffed out and, together with the fine rose sweetness and the smooth patchouli creaminess, create a very harmonious and delicious blend that drifts more and more in a powdery direction. Clean cedarwood and the subtly smoky, violet-like notes of guaiac wood combine in the base with creamy, earthy and light vetiver and the finest vanilla spice to create an extremely harmonious and elegant finish.
“Fruity, Amber, Exotic Musk” is a friendly olfactory note on the bottle. I regard the fragrance more floral than ambery, but No. 8 is definitely fruity, exotic and powdery. A beautiful eau de parfum with a medium presence and good longevity that seamlessly joins the ranks of the Olfactive Expressions Collection creations. In terms of the season, it’s an ever-walker and fortunately I don’t see any restrictions with regard to the occasion. Rosendo Mateu’s No. 8 is a pleasant and uncomplicated fragrance for anyone who prefers fruity-floral and powdery creations that are very elegant, modern and distinguished.
