Our experiences at Esxence 2025 – Part II

In the second part of my report on my experiences at Esxence 2025, I would first like to turn my attention to a brand that is well known here: Fugazzi. The label has been impressing and surprising visitors for several years now with funny and absolutely eye-catching stands at the trade fair and places great value on stylish and innovative details. Two years ago, Fugazzi recreated the interior of an airplane, last year the stand was reminiscent of a swimming pool. In 2025, Bram Niessink’s Dutch niche fragrance brand presented us with a market or fruit stand where every little component was absolutely harmonious. All the employees wore bright clothes with “Bram’s Fruits” embroidered on them, there were little Fugazzi stickers on the fruit and check out these great signs on the wall. I want one of those too! 😍

I already knew the repurposed snack vending machine from the fragrance event in Hamburg, where the two creations from the BORNTOSTANDOUT x Fugazzi collab were presented last November. This time the machine actually worked. A friendly employee handed out “coins” that you could insert and get a 10 ml bottle of Orange Crush eau de parfum, as our managing director Dennis shows us above.

Excitingly, the brand will soon be launching an extrait version of Orange Crush, which should be available shortly. Freshly hatched and already available to see and sniff at the market stand at Esxence: Passionfroudh, a fresh, fruity and transparent mix of eaglewood and passion fruit, which is really great.

Filippo Sorcinelli enthusiastic

In the immediate vicinity of Fugazzi was the Filippo Sorcinelli stand, which was characterized by a spacious and airy interior. A large screen in the background, with several columns in front of it, on which the various fragrances and collections were presented by staff dressed in black. It was good that space was left between the individual pillars, because Filippo Sorcinelli was always really busy. He himself was surrounded by a cluster of people who listened intently to his words as he presented his creations. Half a camera crew was also there, filming almost every step he took. On his Instagram account, you can watch many a cinematic work about the Esxence. The man exudes an incredible presence, elegance and extravagance that can also be seen in reality and not just in videos and reels.

He had the new “Atmosphere d’Emotion” collection with him, which is visually characterized by heavy, silver lids that look as if viscous metal has run over the bottle and then solidified. Filippo Sorcinelli’s fragrances are an experience for the eye alone, but they also have their own special olfactory appeal. In addition to typical, edgy and striking Sorcinelli compositions, there were also some very sociable and uncomplicated creations at his stand, which makes the Italian’s portfolio so incredibly exciting. By the way, I was finally able to try the Pane diffuser and I have to say: Leeeeecker! Anyone looking for sweet, gourmet room fragrance delicacies with a dough or freshly baked bread twist should definitely go for it.

Rubini in pink and blue

We discovered another new product at the Esxence at Rubini: Idìlios. Pink and blue are the colors of the creation, along with paradisiacal cloud formations reminiscent of candy floss … Idìlios is very different from the recently launched Hyperion, which Harmen introduced to you in his article Rubini travels to infinity with Hyperion, purely in terms of its appearance and color scheme.

The two fragrances also differ significantly in terms of content. Idìlios is dedicated to harmony, a delicate, calm, transparent, airy, molecularly sweet creation that is meditative, minimalist and incredibly modern. Ideal for anyone who prefers understated, clean and fluffy, avant-garde compositions.

Bon Parfumeur relies on myrrh

You can already see it in the background of the photos above. Right next to Rubini was the stand of the French niche fragrance brand Bon Parfumeur. Here, everything revolved around the new Les Extraits line, which includes 502 – Iris Cartagena, which I think is rightly hyped. I have already presented all the creations in the collection that have been launched so far on this blog and am happy to link them again for anyone who would like to find out more:

This niche fragrance label has been one of my favorites in our store for years. The fragrances are consistently beautiful and the portfolio is so extensive that there really is something for everyone. But back to the stand! As soon as we arrived, we were not only introduced to the brand owner Ludovic Bonneton, we also had the opportunity to test the new 403 – Myrrh Shadow. The extrait de parfum combines myrrh, citrus notes, vanilla, benzoin resin, spices and musk and is just so, so, so beautiful.

By the way, the perfumer is Quentin Bisch, I don’t think I need to say much more about that, do I? The fragrance is wonderful. I’ll tell you more about it here soon and will also post an unboxing on Instagram as soon as we have the creation in our store. Many thanks at this point to Maria, who not only introduced us to the brand founder Ludovic Benneton, but also kindly presented us with a bottle of the new fragrance. 🫶😘

Tomorrow we will continue with our discoveries and experiences at Esxence 2025. ✨
