And that brings us to the months of November and December, which seem to be just a moment ago, even though it’s almost the middle of January. Where has the time flown to? Wasn’t it just Christmas? But … wasn’t it just summer? But mid-January also means that we’ve already left most of the dreary winter gray behind us and in a few weeks it could already smell faintly of spring. Let’s stay optimistic! But until then, I would like to present you with this last review before I cheerfully throw myself into new reviews and brand presentations. Some olfactory delicacies have arrived here, that much I can already reveal. ☺️
What has happened so far …
- Happy New Year!
- Review of 2024 – Part II
- May and June 2024 – Towards the summer
- July and August 2024 – It’s going to be hot!
- September and October 2024 – Autumn whispers
November 2024
Last November was initially dominated by one particular brand: Essential Parfums. The French niche fragrance label inspired me with its extensive and beautifully composed collection, which was created by renowned perfumers. They are at the heart of every composition at the fragrance house, giving the creations a face and giving us an insight into their creative world.
- On a mission – The Essential Parfums collection
- Mon Vetiver and Orange X Santal by Essential Parfums
- Divine Vanilla and The Musc by Essential Parfums – Divine Minimalism
- Fig Infusion and Patchouli Mania by Essential Parfums
- Bois Impérial, Bois Impérial Extrait and Néroli Botanica by Essential Parfums
This was immediately followed by a handful of individual reviews, including Alidoro and Cuoredoro by Accendis, Mystic Bliss by Goldfield & Banks and La Foncedalle by Versatile. The latter was presented to you by Harmen, before I plunged into two articles later in November: Frida’s Thorns by Obvious Parfums and Himalayan Spell and Malfa Walls.
In the middle of the month, I had the pleasure of attending another fragrance event – thanks again to Rocket Beauty for the invitation. The collab of BORNTOSTANDOUT and Fugazzi was celebrated in Hamburg. With BORNTOSTANDOUT x Fugazzi – Fragrance Diary on Tour and BORNTOSTANDOUT by Fugazzi and Fugazzi by BORNTOSTANDOUT, I was not only able to give you my impressions of the event, but also present the two new creations of this collaboration.
The last week of November was characterized by Peartopia and Berry Shiver as well as Woodylicious and Carnal Bliss from L’Atelier Parfum and the new Extrait de Voyage collection from Une Nuit Nomade with the fragrances Jardins de Misfah, Silver Saffron and Estrella de la Mañana.
December 2024
For the past two years, December has been dominated by our fragrance diary advent calendar, in which we give away unusual and fine fragrances, room fragrances and the like every day and which has been a source of great joy and enthusiasm among our followers and readers right from the start. Of course, there were also fragrance reviews and other posts. It all started with our Xmas Gift Guide 2024 and Gift Guide 2024 – room fragrances and accessories for Christmas, before I presented Heraud by Andy Tauer.
This was followed by the presentation of the new Les Extraits collection by Bon Parfumeur, which also included the items 303 – Marbre Rouge and 502 – Iris Cartagena by Bon Parfumeur and 602 – Bois Narcotique Intense, 603 – Cuir Sahib and 903 – Oud Ilam by Bon Parfumeur. The Exclusive Collection from Pantheon Roma was then on the program, with the Extraits de Parfum M, R and A. After that I said goodbye to the well-deserved Christmas vacation, but until 31.12. I could still spoil you with our final spurt into the new year with great prizes every day.
