The new collection The Golds from Accendis clearly sets the color of the day: It’s going to be golden. The two eaux de parfum Alidoro and Cuoredoro not only shine in the shimmering brilliance of the precious metal, they also bear the ingredient “d’oro” (Italian for golden) in their names. The sunlight with its golden color is the source of inspiration for the line, “a color that radiates warmth and strength”.
But of course, gold is also perfectly suited to the current season, because when does it sparkle and shine more in the warm colors of the precious metal than during Advent and Christmas. And there is another aspect that speaks for the cooler weather: both creations are delicious gourmands that are likely to evoke seductive olfactory desires. While one fragrance – Alidoro – focuses on a fruity, sensual and spicy composition, Cuoredoro is dedicated to melt-in-the-mouth chocolate that has been refined with orange and honey. That sounds really delicious, doesn’t it?
Alidoro – Golden wings
The Alidoro fragrance is accompanied by a little story – typical of the Accendis brand. It is about an angel with golden wings. A characteristic that is also reflected in the name of the creation, as “Ali” is the Italian word for wings and I have already explained above what “d’oro” means. The angel with the wings of gold was a very special inhabitant of heaven, as he was particularly empathetic and friendly and not only indulged in his existence on cotton candy clouds, but also cared for those in distress on earth. For example, he comforted a desperate man whose fields had completely dried up, leaving only wilted flowers. Alidoro provided a heavenly shower of rain that made the flowers shine in new splendor, making the man happy again.
“Fear not, dear mortal,” said the angel, and his voice sounded like music to the man’s ears. “As long as I am by your side, you will never be alone.” The concept of “all is one” suggests that everything in the universe is interconnected and part of a unified whole. From this perspective, the idea of being alone can be seen as an illusion. We are never alone.
The Italian niche fragrance brand combines the ingredients pineapple, apple, orange, plum, rum, iris, caramel, myrrh, chocolate, vanilla, ambergris, woods, sandalwood, gourmand notes and tonka bean for the Alidoro fragrance. In all likelihood, we are dealing with a fruity gourmand that will hopefully sweeten today’s dreary November gray outside my window.
The lovely sweetness of fruit opens Alidoro, from which I can particularly sniff out dark plums, closely followed by the liqueur-like, spicy nuances of rum and powdery iris. The eau de parfum is soft, gentle and extremely comforting as it progresses thanks to warm, balsamic and resinous notes that lend the fragrance depth and volume, but also an incredible calm. Alidoro almost seems to float, appearing transparent, very harmonious and relaxed despite the expressiveness of the olfactory components. In the finish, milky-warm and velvety-silky woods, accompanied by ambery-spicy nuances, evoke an extremely atmospheric and seductive base.
I really like Alidoro. A creation that strikes the perfect balance between opulence and transparency. The interplay of the ingredients is extremely successful and has a very harmonious and coherent effect. Perfect for anyone who loves gourmand, woody and creamy, spicy compositions with a fruity, liqueur-like twist. In my opinion, Alidoro is an ideal fragrance for any occasion, from the office to everyday life to a date in the evening, although I would rather wear the eau de parfum in the cooler months of the year. An absolutely successful start to this very special new collection The Golds from Accendis.
Cuoredoro – A heart of gold
Cuoredoro not only combines the ingredients honey, coffee, orange, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, patchouli, ambergris, cedarwood and white musk. The eau de parfum also tells the story of Princess Cuoredoro, who – as the name suggests – had a heart of gold. Her compassion and generosity towards her subjects, the poor and the needy was known far beyond the borders of her country. She is crowned by a fairy queen in thanks for her empathy, warm-heartedness and selflessness and from now on is a benevolent ruler of her kingdom. And if she hasn’t died, she is still alive today. ✨
In the opening of Cuoredoro, dark cocoa powder meets the golden, flowing notes of honey and finely roasted coffee beans. A splash of orange provides lightness and fruity accents before the composition gradually glides into an incredibly delicious gourmand note. Cuoredoro is warm, sensual and beguiling. The finest milk chocolate and a gentle vanilla spice are added, while creamy patchouli, velvety-sweet ambergris and the powdery balsamic notes of cedar and musk provide a festive, elegant finish.
Cuoredoro bears the color gold for a reason. It is an incredibly magnificent, sublime and noble fragrance that is hard to beat in terms of deliciousness. For all lovers of chocolaty and creamy-gourmand compositions with fruity-sweet accents and a spicy-woody finish. I would classify the presence of this eau de parfum as medium to strong, and it is very long-lasting. A wonderful chocolate creation that I would definitely wear on cooler days for any occasion. Really great and atmospheric composition! 🍫
