With Pear Addiction and Neon Splash, I present to you the latest two creations from Les Sœurs de Noé, whose olfactory works I have been presenting to you here in the fragrance diary for several years now. I believe that the label of Nadia Benaisa, a Belgian-born woman with Moroccan roots, deserves much, much more attention, because the creations created by Jérôme Epinette – and partly also by Pierre Wulff – are all simply beautiful. When looking at the range of fragrances from Aus Liebe zum Duft, I spontaneously realized that I have not yet introduced you to the Private Ruby Collection. I will do so soon, I promise!
You know the game by now. In the following, I will link you to all the articles on Les Sœurs de Noé, including an interview with the founder herself. So everyone can find out more about the brand and the fragrances reviewed so far. I promise you, it’s worth it, because there are some really great olfactory treasures, which is why I can only recommend the recently launched Discovery Set:
- Interview with Nadia Benaisa from Les Sœurs de Noé – Between Belgium and Morocco
- Jardin de Macarons, Bohemian Absinthe and Amazing Jade by Les Sœurs de Noé
- Call me Iris, Oud Rose and Mitsio Vanille by Les Sœurs de Noé [+raffle] – For the crowning finale.
- Citrus Poetry and Saffron Flower by Les Sœurs de Noé
- Midnight Call and Cuir Noir by Les Sœurs de Noé – Of Love and Seduction
Pear Addiction – Gold Collection
Nadia Benaisa often incorporates her love of her parents’ country into her fragrances. Morocco is also the source of inspiration for Pear Addiction, an eau de parfum created by renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette, which combines the ingredients apple, pear, lychee, violet, jasmine, cedarwood, musk and amber. The fragrance is said to be “an invigorating sensation, an intense and captivating emotion” that reflects the beautiful landscapes of Morocco.
As a fan of pear fragrances, I naturally rejoice at Pear Addiction. I find it all the more wonderful that we are dealing here with a very authentically realized, juicy-sweet and delicious pear, which is actively supported by tangy green apple and the tart accents of lychee. Powdery-creamy nuances accompany the pear as the fragrance progresses. Violet and jasmine reveal very light, soft and delicate facets that lead the way to the velvety, warm base. Clean cedarwood meets crystalline white musk here, while the pear is still perceptible.
This eau de parfum simply makes me happy. My pear heart beats faster! If you love this wonderful fruit in fragrances as much as I do, I can only recommend Pear Addiction to you. It is a transparent, lovely and incredibly relaxed fruit composition that is so finely balanced and harmonious that it is simply addictive. As you can see, the name says it all. Perfect for spring and summer, but also perfect for the cooler months of the year. The creation is also an all-rounder when it comes to wearability. Pear Addiction is an ideal fragrance companion for every occasion and every occasion. An absolute tip from me! A composition that belongs on every pear and fruit fragrance fan’s must-have list. 🍐
Neon Splash – Olfactory explosion of color
Today’s second candidate is also dedicated to fruits. With the ingredients grapefruit, blood orange, mango, vanilla, cedarwood, vetiver and ambergris, Neon Splash is likely to be a lively and dynamic creation, possibly given an exotic touch by the mango. Here, too, Morocco was of course the source of inspiration, namely “the vibrant energy and exuberant enthusiasm of the bright days” of the North African country.
Neon Splash starts the fragrance with sparkling and fresh citrus fruits. I particularly notice the colorful, sparkling notes of grapefruit, which are accompanied by sweet blood orange. Both Hesperides tend to be slightly more tart varieties that also have a pleasant sweetness. The fragrance is light, airy and delicate in the style of an eau de cologne, so refreshing, summery and invigorating. The creation soon calms down. Enveloped by creamy and soft notes, juicy mango and fine vanilla are added, while cedarwood and vetiver provide a first glimpse of the base. The composition ends with clean, delicate powdery and earthy-creamy nuances.
Neon Splash is a fruity, citrusy and sparkling blend of rather tart hesperides, lovely vanilla and exotic mango on a clean, woody base. The focus is definitely on the citrus fruits, while the mango only makes an accompanying appearance. If you are looking for a mango high performer, you might find it in our mango fragrances. Neon Splash is more reminiscent of a cologne, is summery, sunny and simply beautifully composed. Once again, perfumer Jérôme Epinette demonstrates his masterful skills here. An evergreen that I personally would rather wear in the warmer months of the year, for every occasion and every occasion. Great! 🍋🍊
