In the last article on the Italian-inspired brand Fabbrica della Musa, we will focus on the eaux de parfum Cristallo Bianco and 7 Miglia, which once again celebrate the Mediterranean dolce vita. As usual, I would like to refer you to my last two reviews Fabbrica della Musa – Italian Dolce Vita and Mia Alba Mistica and Dolcetto Romano by Fabbrica della Musa, in which I gave you an overview of the first four creations of the brand founded in 2022 by Barbara Adelmann and Hamid Merati-Kashani.
Cristallo Bianco – On the road on Monte Cristallo
In the Italian Dolomites, there is Monte Cristallo, part of the Cristallo alpine mountain group, located north of the famous ski resort of Cortina d’Ampezzo. At an altitude of over 3200 m, Monte Cristallo is the highest in the mountain group and also occupies a central position here. Nearby is Lake Dürrensee, now a popular Instagram hotspot, from where you can catch a wonderful view of Monte Cristallo and the surrounding mountains.
The bright rock faces of the Dolomites shine particularly beautifully in the sunlight. It is possible that the brand founders were right here and were inspired by the mountain range around Monte Cristallo to create Cristallo Bianco. Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani combined the ingredients peach, pear, orange, fig, jasmine, magnolia, cashmere wood, white musk, patchouli, sandalwood and bourbon vanilla for the creation.
The moment when the sun is at its zenith, a strikingly perfect beam of white light that reveals the beauty within. As pure and simple as a transforming light that allows you to see what is real. The clarity of rock crystal, known as the window of light, is reminiscent of the stone itself and is a powerful source of universal love.
The opening of Monte Cristallo reveals the velvety, fruity accents of peach and pear as well as the airy, aquatic floral notes of magnolia, which are accompanied by creamy jasmine. The musk has a mineral and light appearance, finely powdery, almost crystalline, floating like a fluffy cloud over the creation, combining with the flowers and fruits to create a clean, gentle and skintight composition that reminds me of white, flowing silk that is a little cool, smooth and incredibly soft. The fig provides subtle greenish fruit speckles. The fragrance is rounded off with creamy, light and warm woods that fit wonderfully into the olfactory structure.
Fans of clean fragrances with floral-fruity and light woody undertones will be absolutely delighted with Cristallo Bianco. I love minimalist compositions, so this eau de parfum is exactly to my taste. Perfect for every occasion, every occasion and every season. An all-rounder through and through that all fans of clean, subtle and skunky creations should put at the top of their must-try list. 🤍
7 Miglia – Seven miles
The 7 Miglia fragrance is based on the historic Mille Miglia car race, which ran from the northern Italian city of Brescia to Rome and back again. The race took place from the mid-1920s to the mid-1950s and was mostly won by Italian car brands. Due to a terrible accident in which numerous spectators were injured and killed, the car race was finally banned in 1957. Since the end of the 1970s, there has been a classic car race of the same name, but it is not about speed, but is driven at a very leisurely pace. Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani used the ingredients bergamot, neroli, orange, orange blossom, elemi resin, jasmine, patchouli, oakmoss, guaiac wood, Virginia cedarwood, copahu balsam and tonka bean for the olfactory realization of this dynamic theme.
A citrusy, tart freshness opens 7 Miglia, followed by creamy, fruity orange blossom and jasmine as well as the greenish spiciness of elemi resin, which adds depth to the creation. Peppery, sparkling notes are added, accompanied by the earthy, woody accents of patchouli and oakmoss, which breathe gentle barbershop vibes into the creation. As the fragrance progresses, powdery coniferous wood nuances join in, bringing the eau de parfum to a gentle close.
7 Miglia is a rather tart, woody-creamy fragrance with earthy-powdery and delicately wild facets, which in my opinion has a masculine touch and this is also communicated by the brand. The eau de parfum is very present and impresses with its excellent longevity. In addition, 7 Miglia is an olfactory perennial in terms of season and occasion, which makes this creation even more attractive. A wonderful conclusion to this exciting collection from the pen of Hamid Merati-Kashani, which fans of Italian-inspired fragrances full of elegance, sophistication and style should absolutely love.
