Rouge Litchi and Lime Tropical by Comptoir Sud Pacifique – Jardins Pop Collection Part II

And once again it’s getting summery here in the fragrance diary thanks to the two newly launched Eaux de Toilette Rouge Litchi and Lime Tropical from Comptoir Sud Pacifique. As you can see, I’m still wavering between summer longing and autumn joy and I’m almost afraid that this fickleness will keep me busy for a while yet. To my relief, however, it should be said that some creations are now being launched in late summer that fit perfectly into the warmer season, while of course more and more fall/winter fragrances are also coming onto the market. And since I want to give you as good an overview as possible of the olfactory novelties here, it’s quite convenient that I can’t completely say goodbye to one season yet and welcome the other with all my heart 😉.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Rouge Litchi and Lime Tropical

Rouge Litchi – pure summer

Let’s start with Rouge Litchi, which I personally am incredibly excited about. With the ingredients blackcurrant, grapefruit, rhubarb, lychee, fruity notes, rose, raspberry, blackberry and oakmoss, the creation not only features a popular combination of fragrance notes, it also includes some other exciting ingredients. The trio of rhubarb, lychee and rose has been at the top of the olfactory hit list ever since Delina by Parfums de Marly. Add to this a colorful basket of berries and fruits and my olfactory heart rejoices.

Incidentally, the eaux de toilette are part of the Jardins Pop Collection, the first three creations of which I have already introduced to you in my article Jasmin Dentelle, Pomelo Fizz and Immortel Cedrat by Comptoir Sud Pacifique. Incidentally, the perfumer of Rouge Litchi is Céline Ripert, while all the other creations in the line are by Thomas Fontaine.

Rouge Litchi is a fragrance creation that elegantly blends the exoticism of fruit with the delicacy of flowers. Inspired by the bustling markets of Asia full of juicy fruits, this refreshing fragrance takes you on a journey full of lychee, raspberries, grapefruit and rose petals.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Rouge Litchi

Rouge Litchi has a very airy, fruity and tangy start to the fragrance, which actually meets my expectations exactly. The berries provide wonderfully fruity nuances, which are brightened up by sweet and sour rhubarb, juicy lychee and tangy, tart grapefruit. Radiant rose notes lend the creation a gentle sweetness and fresh lightness that blend extremely harmoniously into the fragrant melange. In the finish, the oakmoss evokes subtle earthy, creamy accents that give the composition durability and grounding, rounding it off in an extremely skillful and atmospheric way.

Rouge Litchi is a sunny, summery mix of red berries, juicy, tart rhubarb, sweet lychee and lucid rose, accompanied by creamy, woody nuances. Modern, transparent and a guarantee for a good mood with a very natural effect. Perfect for all fans of finely balanced floral fruit fragrances that can be worn on any occasion in the warmer months of the year. Although the eau de toilette certainly has the potential for a certain sweetness, I find the creation to be very balanced and not too sweet. An absolute test recommendation for anyone who loves berries, lychee, rhubarb and rose in fragrances. ❤️

Lime Tropical – South Sea reverie

From the pen of perfumer Thomas Fontaine is Lime Tropical, “a fragrance that invites you to daydream on an island in the South Pacific. To a plantation with tropical lemon trees and exotic vegetation.” I don’t know about you, but I’m right there with you. This composition also revolves by name around one of the main ingredients of the Jardins Pop Collection, namely “sun-kissed citrus fruits”. Lime is the star guest in this eau de toilette, accompanied by lemon, grapefruit, cardamom, verbena, tarragon, cedarwood, guaiac wood and oakmoss.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Lime Tropical

Intense hesperide notes open Lime Tropical, from which I can already clearly sniff out the lime and lemon. The eau de toilette has a very fresh, tangy and sparkling opening and reveals cologne-like traits. However, the green notes of aromatic tarragon and minty verbena slowly creep into the fragrance. They soothe the initially strong, citrusy nuances and intensify the greenish color of the composition from the outset. The fresh spiciness of cardamom does the rest. Clean cedarwood and creamy oakmoss round off the creation in a wonderfully light and airy way, surrounded by powdery, smoky guaiac wood.

Fans of citrusy-fresh and green creations will be delighted by Lime Tropical. But anyone who generally loves hesperide fragrances and prefers light, refreshing and summery compositions will also be delighted by this eau de toilette from Comptoir Sud Pacifique. In terms of occasion, it is an all-rounder that I would place in the warmer months of the year, although die-hard citrus fans will certainly wear it all year round. I classify the presence as medium and the longevity as good.
