But of course this is not the only inspiration for the collection, although the unforgettable party nights certainly also play a part in the fragrances. The Ramón Monegal brand was founded by Ramón Monegal Maso, who was born in 1951 into a family that has been deeply rooted in the perfume business since the beginning of the 20th century. In 1916, Ramón Monegal Nogués founded the Spanish perfume house Myrurgia in Barcelona, which quickly became renowned for its high-quality perfumes and cosmetics, which enjoyed great success both in Spain and internationally.
The brand remained in the hands of the Monegal family for generations. It was here that Ramón Monegal Maso learned the craft of perfumery and continued the family’s legacy before founding his own brand in 2009. A few years earlier, the previously family-run fragrance house Myrurgia had already been taken over by the well-known Spanish company Puig.
Ibiza Collection – Island magic
The Ibiza Collection initially consisted of three creations: Flower Power, Sunset Café and La Isla Blanca. It reflects the memories and emotions that Ramón Monegal associates with the island. He grew up on the Mediterranean and got to know Ibiza in the 1970s, when tourism on the Balearic island began to take off.
I discovered Ibiza in the early 1970s and since then Ibiza has also been a part of me, the source of my innermost creative being. I enjoy that boundless freedom between sun, sea and beach above all else – an absolute luxury for me. All the magical moments and unforgettable color moods of the island inspired the olfactory stories of the three fragrance compositions. – Ramón Monegal

Although I am usually a fan of chronological order, I will start with the most recently launched fragrance in the Ibiza Collection: All Night Long is probably dedicated to the party life of the Balearic island, which Ramón Monegal certainly indulged in at one time or another. Especially in the wild 1970s, he must have experienced one or two parties and certainly did so later. After all, Ibiza is known for its nightlife and world-famous clubs, where DJ greats from all over the world play. This makes the island a mecca for party enthusiasts and clubbers who party until the early hours of the morning, especially in the summer months. All night long.
Piña colada, aquatic notes, lemon, mint, jasmine, neroli, heliotrope, patchouli, sandalwood, musk, vanilla and oakmoss are the ingredients that Ramón Monegal believes are best suited to the parties on the sun-drenched Balearic island of Ibiza.
No place in the world touches the soul so deeply. From sunset to sunrise, at vibrant parties or by the azure blue sea – Ibiza transforms everyone. When night falls, the sky is bathed in a sea of color, mesmerizing laser beams pierce the darkness. The magic of an unforgettable party – Ibiza Collection
There is a hint of pineapple in the air, caressed by creamy, smooth and creamy notes that smell exotic, sunny and wonderfully summery. Ramón Monegal’s fragrance is characterized by a lightness and transparency with delicate aquatic, musky facets. The greenish facets of mint add a hint of coolness, which is underlined by a delicate citrusy freshness.
The heart of the creation is floral, deeper and more intense. Creamy blossoms that smell of vanilla and orange combine with the creamy sweetness of pineapple to create an incredibly delicious melange that you simply want to let yourself fall into. All Night Long by Ramón Monegal Summer to spray on! A wonderfully balanced, sunny, good-mood fragrance that combines notes of tropical pineapple with creamy-fresh and aquatic-airy accents, bedded on creamy-fruity flowers and powdery-warm nuances. I would have liked to see the eau de parfum in a white or light yellow bottle, although both were already available in the collection, as the composition smells exactly the same. Perfect for anyone looking for fragrances with pineapple, light musky creations with a Mediterranean-exotic flair and a good dose of elegance.
